Welcome to Birth Connection. We are two doulas and childbirth educators dedicated to teaching women and their partners tools for a more connected birth.

Meet the Team

  • I'm Nicole, but you can call me Coco. I'm a certified HypnoBirthing instructor and doula, certified by HypnoBirthing International. I also have training in Spinning Babies and sound healing. I'm happily married to the most amazing man, and together, we're raising two incredible little ones.

    My journey into birth work started after a challenging birth experience with my daughter. Thankfully I discovered HypnoBirthing with my second pregnancy and took a class. It completely transformed my life. Not only did it pave the way for an incredible birthing experience with my son, but it also introduced me to the magic of meditation. Battling anxiety for most of my life, HypnoBirthing and meditation have empowered me to harness the full potential of my mind. I've never felt more self-assured and in control of my decisions. Surprisingly, for someone who was labeled as having a "low pain tolerance," I had the most serene and unmedicated birth. I even had the privilege of bringing my son into the world with my own hands - an awe-inspiring moment.

    This experience changed me, motivating me to share everything I've learned with everyone I know. That's why I embarked on this journey of teaching. It doesn't feel like a job at all; it's a passion I'd willingly impart to every person because I believe so strongly in the power of education.

    Arizona is my hometown, and it's where I met my husband in high school. I love the ocean and hold onto the dream of living by a beach someday. I've been a photographer for over 6 years, and I aspire to return to birth photography when my kids are a bit older. Cooking and baking are my happy places, and my favorite things to make are sourdough bread or cookies! Podcasts and audiobooks are my constant companions, offering me opportunities to learn and gain new perspectives. On a lighter note, I'm a devoted fan of The Bachelor - I can dive into Bachelor talk anytime; it's my not-so-guilty pleasure!

    I'm thrilled at the prospect of imparting the knowledge I've gained to empower women to have the incredible birthing experiences they deserve. This role is a true dream realized!

  • I’m a certified HypnoBirthing instructor and DONA-certified doula with training in Spinning Babies, Hypnobabies, and Placenta Encapsulation.

    I am a wife to my highschool sweetheart and mother to four beautiful and spunky kids. In my free time you can find me baking bread or yummy treats, working out, playing board games, spending time in the woods with my family and listening to birth podcasts.

    I fell in love with birth after watching the documentary “The Business of Being Born” and have been hooked ever since. I looked into being a doula then, but was also in school to get my elementary school teaching degree and couldn't figure out how to balance being a classroom teacher with the on-call life. Fast forward 10 years, I had three kids of my own, had taught 1st grade and 5th grade for 8 years and was ready to jump into the birth world!

    I have loved supporting families as a doula over the past five years, but am taking a break from the demanding schedule of the on-call life. Teaching HypnoBirthing and Daddy Doula has been a dream come true, melding my two passions of birth and education.

    I view birth as the most sacred and beautiful transformation that we as humans experience. It truly is one of my greatest honors that I get to be invited to be a small part of this journey for so many amazing families.
